Pre DDW is striving to help others women in need. We have been visiting women in hospitals and some hospices. Many of these women had no families or relatives, some had but there was hardly no time to visit them. We have also embraced the local authority appeal which encourages us to visit our elderly and lonely women during the cold weather in order to provide company and comfort whilst ensuring they were kept safe and warm. More activities are planned to provide a coffee shop, walking in activities, blankets and even to offer the ladies some styling and pampering sessions. We noticed that these made them smiles and confident as they felt happy and loved.<\/p>\n\n

Martha<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is 72 years old and lives in England. She is lonely and feels isolated. During the winter Martha gets cold and is afraid to go out after last time when she was mugged. Though she lives in a flat and goes to Age concern meetings Martha still needs someone to help her with her shopping especially after the last time she collapsed due to illness. As she is still convalescent we have managed to visit her regularly offering company and helping her with shopping. Your donation will help PreDDW <\/strong>create a workshop train volunteers and to provide a place of \u00a0activities for people like Martha and for our helpers to support them.<\/p>\n\n

Though pre-DDW was created by women, preddw is a team of men and women working together for the welfare of our communities. This year the charity has deployed volunteers to visit few care homes and they have done a fantastic work which has echoed the positive feedback received, and encourages us to carry on doing even more .<\/p>\n\n

One of our main goals is to care for our communities, to support care homes, lonely and elderly , and provide services to organisations who rely mostly on charities volunteering services as they are struggling with the fast growing numbers of an aged population , some living in isolation, others suffering with disability and dementia.<\/p>\n\n

At Pre-DDW we are endeavouring to help the elderly in our local communities as their number multiplies every year ,it is very heartbreaking to see them so vulnerable and how easily isolated they get over the years. The task is very challenging due to finances and as we try to provide support on a regular basis . Though our team are local and enthusiastic in their works however their services remain professionally cost effective. It is challenging and very demanding here in the UK and especially in the Third World, but we are hoping that in time the charity will recruit more volunteers so we can provide our services to more organisations, touching all people regardless of gender, race, religion, culture or social background.<\/p>\n\n
